Importing or adding Non-Financial KPI results
NOTE: Before importing or adding results for non-financial KPIs, please ensure that you have selected or created the non-financial KPIs which are relevant for your business. Go to 'Setup' for a company > In 'Step 4: Select KPIs' click on the 'Create a KPI' button.
(See instructions here 'Step 4: Select KPIs')
What are 'Non-Financial KPIs'?
These KPIs can be customised to suit any business or industry. You can define your own KPIs or select from a range of recommended non-financial KPIs. For example, you can use these KPIs to help monitor the efficiency of business operations, track customer service levels, measure staff performance, monitor the effectiveness sales & marketing activities etc...
Unlike financial KPIs, result data for non-financial KPIs is not sourced directly from the data extracted from your accounting system.
There are two options for entering non-financial KPI results into Fathom. You can either manually key this into Fathom or you can import this data via Excel.
A. Add non-financial KPI results
After you have created or selected your non-financial KPIs (see Step 4).
You can key in non-financial KPI results directly into Fathom. To do this click on 'Add Results'.
B. Importing non-financial KPI results from Excel
Alternatively, you can import non-financial KPI results from an Excel (.xlsx or .csv) file. To import custom KPI data > go to 'Setup' for a company > then in 'Step 1: Update data' select the ‘Import from Excel’ button. (If this button is not able to be selected, then non-financial KPIs are yet to be created/defined for this company. Please then proceed to 'Step 4'.)

To update your Non-Financial KPI data from Excel
At the end of the month or reporting period, you can update the data in Fathom by importing a new import file. If there are adjustments to prior period results, then we recommend that the import file contains data for all prior periods. Alternatively, the import file may contain only data for new periods that you wish to append to existing data previously imported into Fathom.
